How we chose and how we review

Last updated: November 3, 2026Published by FirmTech

FirmTech Ring Reviews ranks FirmTech’s three rings on six published criteria, using only facts from FirmTech’s own pages and the sources linked on each page.

This guide is published by FirmTech, which makes every ring it covers. It is not independent. Ratings and quotes come from FirmTech’s own reviews and product pages, as of November 2026.

How are the rings on this site ranked?

Every ring is judged on the same six criteria with the same kinds of facts. The ranking on the home page is ordered for most shoppers, and each entry explains its position. Because the right ring depends on your goal, every page also says who should pick a different ring.

  1. Published buyer reviews. Star ratings and quotes exactly as shown on FirmTech’s reviews and product pages, with dates.

  2. Safe wear time. FirmTech’s published limit for each ring.

  3. Fit and tightness. The published girth range and FirmTech’s 1 to 5 tightness rating.

  4. Tracking. Whether the ring measures anything, and what.

  5. Warranty. The published warranty term for each ring.

  6. Price. The list price on getfirmtech.com, as of the last update.

What this site does not do

This site does not run lab tests, and no independent audit of the rings or the reviews took place. It does not invent ratings or review counts: where FirmTech has not published a separate average for a ring, the site says so. It does not edit review text; quotes appear exactly as published, including spelling. It shows the full star breakdown, low ratings included.

Outside statistics, such as smart ring accuracy research, are quoted as published with a link to the source and are never presented as FirmTech’s own numbers.

Who writes this site

FirmTech, the company that makes the TechRing, Performance Ring and MaxPR, publishes and writes this site. It is not independent. Pages are updated when FirmTech’s prices, specs or published reviews change, and each page shows its last update date. Read more about this site or visit getfirmtech.com.

Common questions

Are FirmTech reviews from verified buyers?
The written reviews on FirmTech’s reviews page are labeled “Verified buyer.” This site quotes them exactly as published there, with the reviewer’s name or initials and the month. Because FirmTech publishes this site and collects those reviews, read them as the company’s own customer feedback rather than an independent survey. See this in the full FAQ
Are there negative reviews of FirmTech rings?
Yes. As of November 2026, FirmTech’s reviews page lists 3 one-star, 2 two-star and 4 three-star reviews among 101 written reviews. That is 9 of 101 at three stars or below. This site shows the full star breakdown on its home page instead of only the top ratings, so you can weigh both sides. See this in the full FAQ
How many FirmTech rings have been sold?
FirmTech reports more than 40,000 rings sold and says more than 308,000 erections have been analyzed, a figure it describes as growing every night. It also lists more than 20 studies published or underway. These are FirmTech’s own figures from its reviews, science and clinical studies pages, not an outside audit. See this in the full FAQ
Who designed FirmTech’s rings?
FirmTech says its rings are doctor designed with leading urologists. Its founder and CEO is Elliot Justin, MD, FACEP, an emergency physician. Its medical advisory board lists urologists including John Mulhall, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Amy Pearlman, MD, of Prime Institute, and James Hotaling, MD, of University of Utah Health.
