TechRing reviews: what buyers say about the smart erection ring

Last updated: November 3, 2026Published by FirmTech

TechRing reviews average 4.6 out of 5 from 101 reviews on FirmTech’s TechRing page, as of November 2026, and the reviews FirmTech features focus mostly on its overnight data.

The TechRing is FirmTech’s $275 smart erection ring. It supports firmer, longer-lasting erections like any FirmTech ring, and adds sensors that measure firmness, duration and nighttime erections, then sync to an app on iPhone or Android. Buyers who leave reviews tend to value the data as much as the performance.

This guide is published by FirmTech, which makes every ring it covers. It is not independent. Ratings and quotes come from FirmTech’s own reviews and product pages, as of November 2026.

Is the TechRing worth $275?

The TechRing is worth $275 if you want data on your erections, not just firmer ones. It costs $215 more than the Performance Ring, and that difference buys sensors, a 12-hour rechargeable battery, the app, a 1-year warranty with two sleeve replacements and FirmTech’s 30-day risk-free trial.

If you only want performance support, the $60 Performance Ring gives the same 12-hour wear time and fit with nothing to charge. If you want the tightest hold, the $60 MaxPR is the better fit.

TechRing and non-tech rings

Tech Ring Performance

“The tech ring provides valuable information and helps to see trends over time with benchmark data to see where you stand relative to others in your age group (and others for that matter). You can see results from different influences, such as how many drinks you had that night and medication, if any, taken. Additionally it is very functional, effective and easy to use as a “normal” ring, but more comfortable and provides data on that activity as well. Wearing overnight takes some getting used to and I found it best to build up to that over time. Definitely works as intended in both the data collection and functionality. I also use the FirmTech non-tech rings on occasion as well and they are easy to use and effective. A lot of work went into this by Elliot and his team and you can tell! Very innovative.”

Go4it!, Jun 2026. Verified buyer, quoted from the FirmTech reviews page.

TechRing facts reviewers mention

What the TechRing tracks

During sex, the TechRing measures firmness and duration. Worn overnight, it counts nighttime erections and tracks their strength and length. The FirmTech app rolls everything into an Erectile Fitness Score from 0 to 100 and lets you log sleep, drinks, workouts and medication to see what moves it. That matches reviewer Go4it!, who wrote that you can see results from influences such as drinks and medication. FirmTech notes healthy men have 3 to 5 erections a night during sleep, which is why the overnight count matters. Data is handled to HIPAA standards and never sold, per FirmTech.

What to know before you buy

Reviews and FirmTech’s own pages point to a few honest trade-offs. Overnight wear “takes some getting used to,” in the words of one five-star reviewer, who found it best to build up over time. The battery lasts up to 12 hours, so the ring goes on its charger after each night. Sleeves need replacing about every 30 nights. And at $275, it costs more than four times the price of either non-tech ring.

On overnight wear, FirmTech’s own guide to performance rings says the TechRing is the only ring that is safe for overnight wear and that other rings typically have a 20 to 30 minute time limit (How to Use an Erectile Performance Ring to Improve Erections (FirmTech)). Note that FirmTech also lists its Performance Ring at up to 12 hours of wear.

Research on the TechRing

FirmTech lists published and presented research on the TechRing, including a 2025 paper in Translational Andrology and Urology, Wearable penile devices: the TechRing, and a 2024 review in Sexual Medicine Reviews, Trends, safety, and efficacy of wearable male sexual devices. It also presented work on the safety of a smart penile constriction ring worn overnight at AUA 2024, and lists a trial comparing the TechRing with RigiScan, the clinic standard, with 35 men enrolled.

Common questions

What are TechRing reviews like?
TechRing reviewers focus on the data. One verified buyer wrote that it monitors nocturnal erections “quite reliably,” and another said his doctor “was shocked” at the detail. A longer review says wearing it overnight “takes some getting used to” and suggests building up to it. The TechRing product page shows 4.6 out of 5 from 101 reviews. See this in the full FAQ
How much does the TechRing cost?
The TechRing costs $275 on getfirmtech.com. It includes built-in sensors, a USB charger, the app on iPhone and Android, a 1-year warranty on electronics with two sleeve replacements, and a 30-day risk-free trial. Replacement sleeves start at $15, and FirmTech suggests replacing a sleeve about every 30 nights. See this in the full FAQ
What does the TechRing track?
During sex, the TechRing measures firmness and duration. Overnight, it counts nighttime erections and tracks their strength and length. The FirmTech app rolls everything into an Erectile Fitness Score from 0 to 100 and lets you log sleep, drinks, workouts and medication to see what moves the score. See this in the full FAQ
Why track nighttime erections?
FirmTech notes that healthy men have 3 to 5 erections a night during sleep. They happen without arousal, so they are a clean read of blood flow, and changes can show up there before anything is noticeable during sex. FirmTech links erectile function to cardiovascular health and cites research connecting overnight erections with heart disease. See this in the full FAQ
How long does the TechRing battery last?
Up to 12 hours on a full charge, and a full charge takes 2 to 4 hours with the included USB charger. For context, a CUDIS buying guide says most premium finger-worn smart rings last 5 to 10 days per charge, but those rings track the whole day rather than single sessions and nights. See this in the full FAQ
Is TechRing data private?
FirmTech says TechRing data is stored securely, handled to HIPAA standards and never sold or shared with advertisers. You decide whether to share it with your doctor and can stop anytime. You can also delete your data and account from inside the app whenever you want. See this in the full FAQ
Is it safe to sleep in an erection ring?
Only in a ring made for it. FirmTech says the TechRing is designed and studied for overnight wear for up to 12 hours, and its guide calls the TechRing the only ring safe for overnight wear. FirmTech presented research on overnight safety at AUA 2024. The MaxPR is limited to 90 minutes and is not for sleep. See this in the full FAQ

Every ring on this page is judged on the same criteria: published verified buyer reviews, safe wear time, fit and tightness, tracking features, warranty and price. Facts come from FirmTech’s product, compare, reviews and policy pages as of November 2026. No ring was lab tested for this page, and no outside audit took place.
